Rubik

Geometric sans with true Hebrew design, not a Latin face with Hebrew bolted on. The safest default for a sign.

Rasterise the 22 Hebrew consonants at 400px/em, skeletonise (Zhang-Suen), exact Euclidean distance transform, then 2x the 15th percentile of each glyph's skeleton distances; the family figure is the thinnest glyph's. Measured on the shipped subset of each static instance. Recommended weight: 700 — the lightest one at or above 0.05em.

Why we instance it

Rubik is a variable font. At its own file default (wght=300) its minimum stroke measures 0.0559em — against 0.1230em at the weight we ship. Any tool that reads outlines straight out of the file, without pinning the weight axis first, gets the thin one. We ship a static instance with no variation axes left in it.
